My work uses portraiture to explore family memory, cultural inheritance, and the Chinese American immigrant experience. Through intimate depictions of family members and elders, I examine the sacrifices, resilience, and quiet acts of survival that shape identity across generations.

Working with expressive color and layered strokes, I create paintings that exist between observation and remembrance. The figures emerge as both individuals and carriers of personal and collective history, reflecting the ways memory transforms over time.

By honoring the lives of those who came before me, I seek to preserve stories that might otherwise fade and invite reflection on universal themes of family, belonging, migration, and the enduring impact of human connection.
